Review of The Double Life of Véronique (1991) by Akshay M — 31 Dec 2014
Astonishing, beautiful, haunting and unique. The double life of Veronique is a artistic masterpiece by the iconic polish director Krzysztof kieslowski. Irène Jacob was delight to watch in her mystical roles.
Cinematography and soundtrack was absolutely breathtaking, some ideas that kieslowski and piesiewicz put together was simply pure genius, it's slow but that's the beauty of it if you look by the side of story.
Many people didn't get it but if you care to look a little deeper and watch it more than one time and if you know/understand about the human sense deep within us then you'll adore this beautiful work by Kieslowski.
