Compelling despite it's long running time and documentary feel, this follows a whinging old man who at first just seems to crave attention as he gets sent from one overcrowded, under-staffed hospital to another as it turns out he may be seriously ill after all.

I suppose it could be called a black comedy, but it's really more of a dark hospital drama, which casts a critical view on the Romanian health system, probably even health systems in general all over the world.

Not especiallu uplifting, but Puiu is very fair in his portrayal of his characters with both the alchoholic patient, and the rude overworked doctors having moments of both sympathy and criticism.
