Review of The Curse of Frankenstein (1957) by Senor C — 16 Mar 2010
When I was watching Brides of Dracula I wondered if there was a movie where Peter Cushing laughed. Well he does in Curse of Frankenstein even if it is in the face of his serving wench who's he had been banging & told her he had no intention of marrying her.
That's what I liked about this is Cushing's Dr Frankenstein is rather malicious but sees nothing wrong w/ his actions. His creation must be resurrected @ any costs even if it entails causing a college to take a header from the 2nd floor for the use of his brain.
Christopher Lee's monster is sorta moldy & not nearly as good as the old Universal but it's better then other Hammer Frankenstein film & I think Lee was cast mostly for his hands.
