Review of The Curse of Frankenstein (1957) by Jonathan S — 03 Jan 2012
Wonderful! What makes this a cut above is that it's not just the story of the making of a monster, but of the unmaking of a friendship. Of work that gets in the way of relationships, of principles that cloud judgment.
Paul and Victor both bore responsibility for what happened in some fashion. Though Victor did seem, from the beginning, to have been missing some empathy. Perhaps he was on the autism spectrum.
