Review of The Cowboys (1972) by Mark G — 06 Jun 2007
(Spoilers Ahead).
OMFG ANYONE WHO KILLS JOHN WAYNE GOES STRAIGHT TO HELL. NO QUESTIONS ASKED. EVEN IF BILLY GRAHAM KILLED JOHN WAYNE, HE WOULD MEET A FIERY FATE. SRSLY. WTF. THAT GUY WAS WORSE THAN STALIN AND HITLER COMBINED.
And the racism in this movie is quite blunt, and hearing small children refering to the black character who basically has a "voice of God" voice as "nigger" is kind of startling at first, but you get used to it. Never show this movie to Al Sharpton.
And the ending is probably one of the most epicly brutal things I've ever seen in my life.
