Review of The Counterfeiters (2007) by Jonathan K — 30 Jul 2012
What makes yet another Holocaust story compelling in this case is the well-defined portrayal of a variety of morality personas. At any given scene one can easily identify with a character that appeared "bad" just a minute prior.
The moral quandaries at play in this survival setting are honest and somehow familiar, and it's in the ethically gray areas that the performances and script find color.
