Review of The Counterfeiters (2007) by Alejandro T — 28 Sep 2011

A rather simple story, with, again, ze germans as the evil ones. This one tho, with an interesting (and based on a true story) plot. With a cast representing their parts at their best, and extra cudoes on Markovics, Ruzowitzky does manage to show an interesting side to what happened at the camp in Sachsenhausen.

With quite a dark atmosphere the grim story come quite well through. Maybe a bit slow for some, maybe too many stories have been told about the WW2 and maybe it is not that interesting for some, but what it does, it does well.
