Review of The Counterfeiters (2007) by Moore S — 01 Sep 2012
The Counterfeiters (Die Fälscher) written and directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky. Film won Oscar award in 2007 as Best Foreign Language Film.
Operation Bernhard was plan by the Nazis in World War II to destabilize UK economy by flooding forged bank notes (Bank of England). A Jewish counterfeiter, Salomon Sally, is coerced into assisting Nazi at the Sachsenhausen concentration camp.
Many movies have come out on world war II, holocaust, and more. Some of them have succeeded in their technique of presenting the facts; other have been diminished, but have left an impact on historical event. The Counterfeiters has got suspense, thrill, sadness, and murkiness. A great film to be entertained from.
