Review of The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover (1989) by Tom R — 10 Oct 2007
Absurd, surreal and very theatrical; Peter Greenaway's masterpiece works like a stage show with lavish sets and colour co-ordinated costume. Very grim and distrurbing towards the end sprinkled with a dose of harsh, harsh humour.
