Review of The Conformist (1971) by Kham S — 06 Sep 2007
An interesting reflection on Italy's facist past, that manages to make strong links between sex and politics without overshadowing the narrative. Stunning cinematography (thanks to Vittorio Storaro), excellent set pieces and some great time jumping structure keep interest.
The well deserved breakout picture for Bertolucci.
