Review of The Butcher Boy (1998) by Razvan Florentin P — 08 Feb 2009
The child actor was the best I've ever seen. He was brilliant - worthy of an Oscar. The subject matter was chilling, and yet told with an array of colourful characters and witty dialogue that kept me spellbound.
I'm not sure mental illness and comedy work well together normally but somehow this movie found the right balance. I loved it, but am sure it's not to everyone's taste.
