Mel Gibson would be considered the Orlando Bloom/Johnny Depp type stud of his time back in the 80's. This is one those fabulous stories where its hard to decide who's side your on in my opinion both sides were in the wrong which I believe is usually what causes a mutiny.
The acting from both Mel Gibson and the legendary Anthony Hopkins is superb showing those 2 are made for period flicks. The film also features great locational footage and a beautiful soundtrack featuring that awesome 80s synthesizer.
