Review of The Blue Lagoon (1980) by Dave J — 24 Sep 2011
So much inked has been spilled about this fiasco, I won't go over the plot. Not really that horrible, just uninteresting. Not a lot of real drama, just cuteness as Brooke and Chris frolic in their little loincloths while experiencing strange new feelings between bouts of getting cross at each other.
A huge gap in logic - they're on this island for how many years before they realize it's populated by savage headhunters? Sheesh. One plus is nice cinematography by Nestor Almendros of exotic Fiji locales, but even that can't save this well-known stinker.
