Review of The Blue Lagoon (1980) by T W — 13 Sep 2014
This film is very beautiful. The cinematography is beyond gorgeous, the island where the film was shot is a magnificent natural set and both actors are superb. Brooke Shields is a rare beauty and Chris Atkins manage to display quite a good range of emotions and some good survival skills.
This is a charming story where time has definitely stopped. It's a bit like watching Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, discovering their growing sexuality and mutual attraction. It's incredibly well shot, innocent, poetic and timeless.
A pure cult classic film and definitely a must see.
