Just watched this film for the first time in almost 30 years with my 4 year old son. I had not remembered what an amazing movie this was and how big an impact it had on my childhood. I literally wept during parts of this movie because of the remembered emotional impact it had on me, and because of the beauty of this film.
This really is one of the best and most beautiful movies ever made. It was a bright spot in my warped childhood and I will not wait another 30 years to watch it again!
