Quite possibly the only boy-and-his-animal story worth watching, this epic story is played out as a beautiful drama woven with extreme sensitivity and absolutely eye-widening cinematography. There is a good half hour period of the movie with no dialogue; the entire segment of the boy building a friendship with 'the Black'.
