Review of The Black Hole (1979) by Zane T — 09 Feb 2009
Disney's attempt at a big budget sci-fi movie looks nothing more like a space cowboy movie. More like 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, but in Space. There are moments in this movie that are just laughable such as a robot named Bob who speaks as if he should be in a Roy Rogers western.
The movie's ending seems to be a nod to 2001: A Space Odyssey just not as mind-blowing, more like WTF. I remembered seeing this movie a lot in the 1980's when it was on the Disney Channel. It didn't look too good then, either.
