Review of The Big Red One (1980) by Lyle R — 03 Nov 2007
I expected more from this movie. There are some fine performances, particularly from Lee Marvin and I realize Fuller was basing this moving on his real life WW2 experiences but ultimately the plot rings hollow in places and seems like just another Hollywood cookie cutter war movie.
