Review of The Big Red One (1980) by Glenn H — 22 Jun 2010
I was forced to watch this movie once again. And once again I was disappointed. With the exception of Lee Marvin, the acting is terrible. Mark Hamill should fill lucky he has Star Wars under his belt due to his abysmal acting "skills.
" The movie skips along through major campaigns with little explanation. I gave this movie 2 stars only because it seems today the 101st AB seems to grab all the credit. In fact the 1st ID was in the European theater from North Africa to the Elbe.
Perhaps, a viewer will come away feeling the need to research the 1st ID further.
