A really gritty world war II film more in the vain of eighties Vietnam films than the classic war movies - Marvin is superb and supporting cast good, Fuller shows a brutal touch and the birth scene is just brilliant.
Saw the reconstructed version having not seen original so can't comment on differences but film is good, well made and flows superbly.
