What Fritz Lang showed he could do back in the early 30s, he was able to continue with some 20 years later... his work here is excellent... for some reason, Glenn Ford has never stood out to me, but he gives a solid performance here as does the rest of the leading cast (why is it family scenes involving children in movies of this vintage are so horrible?).
