Review of The Big Heat (1953) by Eric R — 29 Feb 2012
Wonderfully taught and brutal crime thriller/noir. Lang doesn't pull any punches here with some genuine gut wrenching moments - the car bomb, the coffee, punching Larry Gordon. Excellent stuff from a master craftsman, with great performances from Ford and Grahame, and especially Marvin.
