Review of The Big Heat (1953) by Jeff B — 28 Jul 2011
This was a great film noir directed by Fritz Lang. It had a great set up, a cop kills himself and nobody knows why. Glenn Ford does a good job as the sergeant who tries to take down the crime ring and Gloria Grahame is excellen in a supporting role as the girlfriend of one of the criminals (also perfectly played by Lee Marvin).
Cool script with some great moments, especially a particular scene with Marvin and Grahame.
