Review of The Big Chill (1983) by Caitlin O — 05 Sep 2007
Though a different time, a different era, I think that the core of this movie is the friendships of these people. It shows that friendships can survive anything, even years of drifting apart. Though "Nick" would say that they were simply strangers who knew each other for a short period of time, I believe they are the true essence of friendship.
Someone who you know will be there in tough times. They don't always have to be right around the corner, but should be there for each other when times call for it.
