Review of The Big Blue (1988) by Sunil N — 14 Jun 2008
Just a stunner. The scenes are so great, melancholicly blue, dialogue so light and far from any smartness. Even the very dated music score of Eric Serra perfectly matches the seemingly untroubled life by the sea (and the 80s).
Makes me think of Durrells masterpice "Alexandria Quartet", however in a different light (orange). This movie is not possible to not see over and over again.
