Review of The Big Blue (1988) by Fadeblack — 07 Apr 2017
What was potentially a fascinating exploration of the human soul filmed in the wondrous depths of the ocean was mired quite significantly by an atrociously written female lead character, and romantic plot that dragged a fair bit of the movie down.
Very unfortunate because this could have been a masterpiece, but seemed too unsure of itself and try to swing for some kind of rom-com second act that felt like it belonged in another, much crappier movie.
