Review of The Big Blue (1988) by Matt M — 18 Sep 2013
Luc Besson's film is built around and all too familiar and predictable structure, which makes its length seem unnecessary and daunting. It is also much too melodramatic. However, despite an overall lack of originality Besson still shows an interesting aesthetic vision with a cinematography that is often nothing short of poetic.
