Review of The BFG (2016) by Sonia A — 14 Jul 2016
As a child I had never read Roald Dahl's The BFG. All I knew going in to this movie, was that Giants were somehow involved. What we get is a fairly touching, very well told family-friendly story about friendship and overcoming bullying.
The CGI is excellent and Ruby Barnhill did a fantastic job. The use of 3D, as with most 3D films, was pointless. The conclusion is a little silly, but I expect that is in line with the original story, which feels very much like how a children's story would end.
