Review of The BFG (2016) by Cameron A — 16 Nov 2018
Spielberg plays it safe with this adaptation of the book written by Roald Dahl. The performances shine bright in amidst a story that is simply fine, but not overly-memorable. It has a good deal of heart, and the visuals are stunning.
The plot, however, goes places that underwhelms, and as a whole makes the film a bit of a letdown in its climax. But it is a harmless and entertaining family film that should satisfy all ages.
