Review of The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) by Blackity B — 10 Jan 2008
Three solid, interesting characters carried this story and made it a great work. Really, it'll be tough to find a better written movie than this, in many ways it is an insightful, moving masterpiece with a powerful social message.
In parts though it was a bit too long, and I really didn't like that the end it kind of got narrowed down into simple love stories. The acting and the likability of its main characters still made it work though, and there is no denying this was a big movie.
