King Kong was a landmark.....but this is Ray Harryhausen at his very best. It's a tad slow in pace but it further develops the mystery around the creature...and when it attacks. Oh my...it's black & white stop motion glory full of destruction and chaos pulled off by simple yet brilliantly effective filmmaking.
A true classic.
