My absolute favorite Billy Wilder film. Shirley MacLaine is fabulous, and Jack Lemmon is at the absolute top of his game. Billy Wilder has this incredible ability to take a funny premise, or a "romantic comedy" and rip at our heart strings with all of his might.
He makes films that are much more than Romantic Comedies, but are desperately human, and ultimately really satisfying. What a guy <3.
