I love art that feels like it has barely passed through the filter of the conscious mind. Hayao Miyazaki's films often have this sensation, and many of Terry Gilliam's do as well. This is considered part of "The Dreamer" Trilogy; The dreamer as an old man, gaining eternity through his tall-tales.
