Review of The 5th Wave (2016) by Keri H — 13 May 2017
A movie about an apocalyptic situation. It has a decent story line, and the book was amazing. The movie fell short of that though. The only actor that seemed to fit was Liev Schreiber (Colonel Vosch). They left out the character Crisco, he played a major part in why Cassie wasn't in the barracks with everyone else.
Cassie was never meant to be on that bus nor was Sammy going to take Mr. Bear. The manner in which her father died was very different. In the book Cassie was rescued from a blizzard. In the book Sergeant Reznik was a man who was incredibly tough and mean but in the movie he turns into a she and is very soft.
Where Cassie found her gun in the movie differs. Things do need to be added to make the movie worth watching but when they change key points it makes it worse.
