This is without a doubt the most bizzare children's movie I have ever seen. It's great in so many ways but suffers from being a bit dated effects-wise. I could imagine Tim Burton redoing this film with great success.
It's a trip. Watch it, but only if you REALLY like Dr. Seuss. I mean the REAL crazy, twisted, imaginative Dr. Seuss. Not the Dr. Seuss of pop culture. This movie is Dr. Seuss's mind set to film.
