Review of The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T. (1953) by Peter A — 23 Jun 2008
An interesting Seussian movie with a feel of a Dali painting. Really cool if you're a diehard Seuss fan or nostalgic for 50's Technicolor. Many of the musical numbers are too long and don't really bode well nowadays.
Although I don't advocate substance abuse, this movie would probably be more interesting if substances were involved...If I remember from the Dr. Seuss biography "Dr. Seuss and Mr. Geisel," I don't think Dr.
Ted was quite so thrilled with how this turned out, either.
