Review of The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T. (1953) by Jeffrey S — 11 Jul 2012
To say this movie is anti-intellectual is one of the most ignorant things I've heard in a while. This movie captures the imagination and free spirit that all young boys have inside them, using the piano and its teacher as a metaphor for overbearing parenting and authority.
The movie made me feel like a child again and made me wish that I had the creativity and genius that Geisel possessed even in his early career.
