Review of The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T. (1953) by Benjamin S — 03 Jan 2009
Certainly not in competition with the top echelon of children's movies, but this is a shining example of what can be done with the brilliance of the Dr. Seuss aesthetic instead of the embarrassing waste of good material we get today in movies like "Horton Hears a Who.
" The dungeon dance scene in the middle of this film alone puts all postmortem Seuss pictures to shame (compare with REO Speedwagon number at the end of the a fore mentioned "Horton" picture).
