Review of The 39 Steps (1935) by Hannele D — 03 Dec 2007
Early Hitchcock can be a bit too much about the dialogue and less about the action, which is not something I would usually complain about. In this case, I was put off by the "witty dialogue" and was actually more interested in the plot.
In his later movies, Hitch was able to balance the two a bit better.
