Review of Synecdoche, New York (2008) by Stephen H — 21 Mar 2012
Charlie Kaufman doesn't need Spike Jonze anymore. His directing debut is packed with intriguing notions about life and its often "uneventful" course. The idea of using your life as material for performing is done with such gusto and awareness of us as the audience.
Philip Seymour Hoffman is one of the best actors out there.
