Review of Sweet Bird of Youth (1962) by Bjørn B — 14 Sep 2007
1. Paul Newman film.
2. Buthered version of a stage play.
The film even after censorship is a great piece of southern cinema. Paul Newman plays well with the roles of steadfast lover and the stargazed hollywood hopeful. I really felt for the characters. I could have done with out the governer's lover ( she was also in Giant and annoys the heck out of me).
- It guess its worth seeing her finger slammed into a jeweled egg ( for real!).
