Everyone in this movie is amazing but Geraldine page is off the charts. Apparently in the original play, the main character is castrated and the love interest has a hysterectomy due to contracting a venereal disease from him.
How they managed to tack a remotely happy ending on that I don't not know. That's some Southern Comfort for your ass!
