Review of Sweet Bird of Youth (1962) by Jeff B — 10 May 2008
Good film with a great cast. It's got that typical Tennessee Williams feel to it and the actors really pull it off. And this is actually the first film of Geraldine Page's I've seen (unless you count The Rescuers).
Page was amazing, I wish she was in it more. Ed Begley did a good job in his Oscar winning role, though I wish there was more of a reason for him to hate Newman (or maybe I just missed it). Anyway, very well done, I loved the scene with Page on the phone.
