A unique take on story telling. Five different plots all loosely linked to one another, spliced together. Sounds like a lot to contemplate and it is. The best way to enjoy this film is to sit back and watch, absorb as much as you can and peice it together at the end. There seems to be no actual point to the characters and the link is vague at best. Persevere and the purpose of all the quirky craziness is gradually revealed.
Visually its a banquet of colour and beautiful back drops. The music goes hand in hand with each scene as well as being a kick ass stand alone soundtrack. Characters are incomparable and as varied as ever played by some very famous actors, starring Tadanobu Asano, fish out of water Vinnie Jones and even a cameo by Sonny Chiba.
Be prepared for something a little different.
