Review of Surveillance (2006) by Hardy C — 27 Aug 2011
Definite Lynchian overtones to a weird (natch) film that keeps pulling you in with each over-the-top grotesquerie. I deem it a success (even though the "twist" was rather mild) just because of Pullman's strangeness, a quality he lends to all his films.
The little girl is good also. The ending is definitely not Hollywood , which probably doomed it from the beginning.
