Review of Surfwise (2007) by Anna S — 29 Jul 2008

Wow I really enjoyed this as an exploration of the authoritarian father. Even though Dorian Paskowitz is very extreme in his execution of his ideals, I think they are not at all uncommon notions. It's interesting that the reactions of the kid's to their upbringing is so strangely common.

I did find it difficult to differentiate all the brothers but on a whole I found the film surprisingly stimulating rather than a freak show.
