Review of Sugar (2010) by Hugh J — 26 Jun 2009
This is one of my favorite movies of the year, screw you Armond White. I currently have this as my #5, right behind Star Trek.
I don't think I've loved this kind of film since I saw Tsotsi, which is one of the better films of this decade in my opinion. Speaking of which, I should probably write a review for that. Anyways, Sugar is a great story, acted almost perfectly by Algenis Perez Soto and directed amazingly by Ryan Fleck, who also has directed one of my favorite films of this decade, Half Nelson.
All I can say right now is see it right away.
