Review of Strange Days (1995) by Alex F — 06 Nov 2014
After reading about the movie before watching I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. I am a fan of Ralph Fiennes and Angela Bassett, so I was at least happy I would know some of the main characters.
I think the two worked really well together throughout the movie. The idea was the "squid" was interesting as an underground 'thrill' as they call it, but James Cameron has always be associated with very successful movies.
I didn't really like the film too much, but it is still one worth seeing. I felt the movie was a bit long for the story and some of the acting was forced. Most of the scenes I felt were force were Faiths scenes telling Lenny she didn't love him anymore.
For it being made in the '90s I felt the cinematography was right for the time. For me, as a whole the movie was only 2 out of 5 stars.
