Review of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984) by David Y — 21 May 2009
Funny that Star Trek II gets the high praises but I found this to be the superior film. It's still far from perfect but the pacing was improved, visual effects much better, and most importantly so was the acting (with the exception of a few notable cries from admiral kirk).
This really is a direct sequel to Star Trek II so don't expect to fully understand what goes on in this one without "Wrath of Kahn" but if you want a more entertaining Trek, this is the better choice.
