Review of Standard Operating Procedure (2013) by Leah L — 09 Nov 2008
I love Errol Morris so I'm biased, but this documentary (a) needed to be made and (b) is a must-see for photographers. Not only does it examine the atrocities that occurred at Abu Ghraib and provide insight into the psychology involved, but it questions the role of photography in the scandal and asks if the photography in this situation was accurate, or if certain events happened only because of the camera.
